The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia began with a community infection that occurred at the end of March 2019. This incident turned out to be growing rapidly and having a high level of spread. The business world has begun to be affected very significantly, so that the government's concern about an economic recession in Indonesia is a matter of concern to all levels of society. The study, entitled Determining Company Business Strategies in Facing Economic Recession, aims to determine whether the strategies adopted by entrepreneurs and companies can anticipate the severe effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on developments in the business world in Indonesia.
This research is a descriptive study, using the library method where research is carried out by studying and collecting data from libraries related to tools, both in the form of journals and scientific studies from research that has been published in general journals.
The results of the study concluded that the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak had a major influence on performance in the business world. Many companies have experienced a decline in performance, so that many companies have laid off most of their employees, did ship work and even closed their businesses. To anticipate it getting worse, the government has provided a tax incentive policy. A business strategy to anticipate an economic recession, it is also hoped that the business world will develop startup business innovations and support MSME business players as an effort to encourage economic growth to keep going amid the economic crisis due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
