This study aims to analyze the optimization strategy of the Government Agency Performance Report (LKIP) within Regional Apparatus of the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. In recent years, the achievement of the Provincial Government of the Spesial Capital Region of Jakarta performance reporting component has stagnated, indicating that the Performance Report is not optimal resulting in reports that are not of good quality and informative.
This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through interpretive interviews with the head of the Bureau of Organization and Bureaucratic Reform and 7 (seven) civil servants (ASN) who assist in the preparation of the Government Agency Performance Reports (LKIP) for Regional Apparatuses, as well as 1 (one) Widyaiswara (government training instructor), and applies the theory of New Public Management and optimization strategies as the foundation for shifting the paradigm that performance reports are no longer merely administrative document but rather key factors in planning program/activites for the coming year and will impact the achievement of performance reporting components for the Provincial Government of the special Capital Region of Jakarta.
The results of the study indicate that there are factors causing suboptimal performance reports including the absence of technical guidelines for preparation, insufficient contect in performance reports, lack of human resource competence and insufficient utilization of the government Agency Performance Report (LKIP). This study is expected to provide solutions and academic contributions to improving the value of performance reporting components and to provide practical input for the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta in the future.
