Pengembangan Paving Block Inovatif dari Limbah Cangkang Kerang Hijau dan Pengembangan Model Bisnis Berkelanjutan untuk Masyarakat Pesisir Kalibaru, Cilincing

Permasalahan limbah cangkang kerang hijau di pesisir Kalibaru, Jakarta Utara, menjadi tantangan lingkungan serius dengan dampak buruk terhadap kesehatan dan kebersihan lingkungan. Pengabdian berbasis masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat setempat melalui inovasi pemanfaatan limbah cangkang kerang hijau sebagai bahan baku paving block ramah lingkungan dan bernilai ekonomis. Pendekatan dilakukan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan limbah yang berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa cangkang kerang hijau dapat diolah menjadi paving block dengan kekuatan tekan hingga 250 kg/cm ² yang memenuhi standar kualitas konstruksi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini tidak hanya mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan, tetapi juga menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat pesisir. Pendampingan intensif dan keberlanjutan program diharapkan dapat memastikan manfaat jangka panjang, baik dari segi sosial, ekonomi, maupun lingkungan. Dengan pendekatan kolaboratif antara universitas, masyarakat, dan pemerintah, program ini menjadi contoh nyata penerapan konsep ekonomi sirkular untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan.References
