Focus and Scope
LUGAS Jurnal Komunikasi is a peer-reviewed journal organized and published by Study Program of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Management (FISMA), Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Manajemen STIAMI. This journal is a continuation of the previous print version (p-ISSN 2580-8338) which was published in 2017. Since 2018, it has been published electronically with a new e-ISSN 2621-1564. This journal is scheduled for publication twic a year, June and Desember. LUGAS Jurnal Komunikasi is electronically published via the journal website (www.ojs.stiami.ac.id/index.php/lugas).
LUGAS Jurnal Komunikasi provides a forum for empirical inquiries on communication and welcome conceptual, and philosophical and theoritical essays or debates, book reviews and essay reviewers directly contributing to communication or indirectly affecting it as a dicipline. We suggest the following borad areas of research :

Peer Review Process
The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for LUGAS focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and similiarity score by using iThenticate.
The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Double Blind Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.
The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.
Publication Frequency
This journal publishes two times a year on June and December.

Journal History
First published in 2017, LUGAS Jurnal Komunikasi is focusing on communication research, theoretical thinking, methods, policies, applications and the study of various phenomena in communication. Since Since June 2018, LUGAS has fully started the online based journal system. All article will be exercise or blind reviewed by communication scientist / peer reviewer from various scholars and universities. Peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects.
After Volume 2, No.1 (June 2018), LUGAS has applied for DOAJ. DOAJ is an online directory that indexes and provides access to quality open access, peer-reviewed journals. It is to increase the visibility of LUGAS Jurnal Komunikasi and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly journals, thereby promoting our increased usage and impact.
